About Fremont-Elmore Cycle & Fitness
A Word from the Owner

As a third generation business owner, dating back to 1934 when my Grandfather owned a gun and bike store, I'd like to welcome you!  In 1978 I took over the bicycle portion of the family business, later adding the indoor fitness aspect of the business as well as  skate board selections.

Today, Fremont/Elmore Cycle & Fitness continues to meet the diverse needs of the cycling community.  Our staff includes committed cyclist, expert mechanics and knowledgeable sales people.   Our service department offers new builds, maintenance, repair and advice.   Our sales department can help you find the bicycle, parts, apparel & accessories you need.  We  sell a complete line of quality bicycles including recumbent, comfort, cruisers, tandems, road, mountain bikes and more.

Our goal to help you reach yours.

Owner since 1978

Fremont Cycle & Fitness

While serving the cycling community since 1978, Fremont Cycle & Fitness is committed to meeting the diverse needs of the community it serves.  While a focus on the road specific community is one our goals, so also is our commitment to the commuter, the recreational, fitness and rehabilitation riders.  Our sales people come from a variety of cycling backgrounds and are ready to find the right bike and accessories for you.  Because of the longevity of the Fremont Store, our mechanical expertise and available resources give us the unique ability to service not only new bicycles, but we also have access to a great many bike parts no longer available in other locations.

Our Fremont location also offers a complete line of skateboards and accessories.

Elmore Cycle & Fitness

When the North Coast Inland trail was opened between Elmore & Fremont in October of 2008, Dan was asked to start a second shop in the Elmore location.  Dan realized that new trail riders would need bikes tuned, stems adjusted, and flat tires changed.  Riders could be interested in updated helmets, energy bars, bike fitting and even upgrading their bike to better suit their needs.  Thus, a week before the 2009 GOBA bikers rode into town, Elmore Cycle began servicing the cycling & fitness community in the Ottawa County area.

“People find today’s pedal forward bikes and three wheel recumbants more fun to ride.  The ‘Wow factor’ is high.”

While all the workers at Elmore Cycle are biking enthusiast, one of the most rewarding things about being in the cycling business can be summed up as follows.

“You meet people on the trail,  enjoy conversation and helping people to enjoy being more active.”
